Legislation To Accelerate the End of Breast Cancer Introduced

The National Breast Cancer Coalition's (NBCC) top priority for 2013 took a major step forward this week in both the Senate and House of Representatives. On Monday, lead sponsors-Senators Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) and Dean Heller (R-NV) and Representatives Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) and Kathy Castor ( D-FL) introduced the Accelerating the End of Breast Cancer Act, S.865 / HR 1830. This bipartisan legislation would establish a Commission with the mission to help end breast cancer by January 1, 2020.
This past Tuesday, May 7, hundreds of NBCC and WBCC grassroots activists spread out across Capitol Hill urging Senators and Representatives to show their support by co-sponsoring this important legislation.
Now we need YOUR voice - the most important voice a legislator wants to hear is his or her own constituent's !
ACTION: Please contact our Senators and your Representative TODAY and ask them to sign on before Mother’s Day! Ask to speak to the Legislative Assistant for Health Issues and deliver the following message:
